1. Boat Ride to Jag Mandir Palace
Famed as the ‘Venice of the East’, a visit to Udaipur is incomplete without taking a boat ride to the resplendent Jag Mandir Palace. This hour long journey gives you splendid views of the City Palace complex, the picturesque ghats, Sajjangarh and Bagore ki Haveli. Built in marble and yellow sandstone, the towering structure displays marvelous architecture.
The Gangaur Boat Cruise will give you the ideal romantic setting and a tranquil ride. Cruise round the mesmerising Lake Palace as you sip your cocktail and enjoy live musical performances – one of the most regal experiences that Udaipur offers. The location of Jag Mandir amidst Lake Pichola also lends it beautiful views of the sunset, which can be best enjoyed if you opt for the sunset boat ride. You can also charter a boat for an ultra-private experience.
Boats for the Jag Mandir Island Palace depart from the jetty near the City Palace. Since it’s the private property of the HRH Group of Hotels, it’s off limits for other private boat operators.

5. Bird Watching
Udaipur is home to more than 500 species of birds, from the common ones to the exotic varieties. A number of migratory birds also come to Udaipur during the winter season, which is the best time for this activity.
For Kids – Let your children familiarize with the different varieties of birds while in Udaipur.
Udaipur has the Aravalli mountain ranges as its backdrop and these provide some very good trekking trails. These trails offer great trekking and hiking opportunities for adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers. The best time to go trekking here is from November to February.
7. Mansapurna Karni Mata Ropeway
Mansapurna Karni Mata Ropeway is a popular ride up the hill to the Karni Mata temple and enroute offers views of the area around. It can get crowded during season.

8. Hot Air Balloon Ride
Udaipur is tagged as one of the most romantic places in India. The glittering Lake Pichola with Lake Palace in the background will evoke the love in your heart. You won’t find the lake empty as it is dotted with the long tail boats. A balloon ride above this already beautiful place gives you a new perspective to see. The only down side is that this place is too touristy with hotels, restaurants and travel agents everywhere.
